Last week some lucky Year 10 students got to spend the day at Poetry Live! They had the opportunity to hear poets reading their own work, ask them questions, discuss how poems connect and influence other poems, and take part in examiner sessions to prepare them for their GCSE English Literature exams in summer. John Agard, author of poems including ‘Half Caste’, was kind enough to let our students have a photograph with him. He was a favourite amongst the young crowd and read his poems with great passion.
